Featured Speaker Chef Ann Cooper aka "Lunch Lady", Organic Valley's Chief Mission Officer Theresa Marquez, Melinda Hemmelgarn, M.S., R.D., and Andrew Nowak of Slow Food Denver will offer a unique dining experience and presentation focused on the current state of school lunch programs in this country, as well as the opportunities and innovations that are changing the way we feed our children, one cafeteria at a time. Participants will experience first-hand how the quality of the foods we choose to feed children through our schools have the power to improve our children's health and wellness in the short and long term.

Participants will be seated in a unique cafeteria setting custom-designed for the conference by Palmer Hamilton, the leader in innovative cafeteria solutions.

SOLUTIONS SUMMIT: Overcoming Obstacles To Bring Healthy Food Into Schools

National leaders from the public, private, non-profit and K-12 sectors will address key issues - such as cost, distribution and ability to do local sourcing - that are preventing schools from bringing more healthy options into school lunchrooms. And more importantly, they will develop an action plan to overcome those obstacles.
